Overview - Online Portal
The Freight Assist Australia Pty Ltd online portal provides our customers with a one stop solution to their transport needs allowing them to access and utilise a range of online tools and services from:
- Entering Consignments
- Creating Pick ups
- Retrieving Proof of Delivery dockets (POD’S)
- Manifesting
- Rate Schedules
- Quotations
- ETA and Tracking
Logging In
Logging into the online portal
visit https://online.faagroup.com.au
Enter the issued login details (remember this is case sensitive)
Username:

Dashboard and My Profile
Once you’ve logged it will redirect you to the dashboard.
This page is the main page of our portal and provides you with critical business updates and the navigation menu.
The Menu consists of:
- Dashboard
- Quick View
- View/Add Pickups (Dependant on the pickup/consignment option selected)
- Consignment
- Manifest
- Track & Trace
- POD
- Settings
My Profile
You can customise your profile display settings by clicking on you display name in the top right corner of the page.
A drop down menu will appear.
Select “My Profile”
Changing your display name by re-entering the First and Last name fields and clicking “SAVE”
Profile Settings
To change profile settings click the settings tab
You can change your view options and select viewing defaults for multiple pages:
- View/Add Pickups page
- Consignment Page
- Manifest
Note that pickup allotment and status export will not appear unless your a system administrator.
Once finished amending the options click the “SAVE” button to confirm the changes.
Changing your password
Click on the change password tab.
Enter your current password
create a new password
confirm your new password
click on “Change Password”
Quick View Menu
The quick view page gives you a full combind overview of Pickups, Consignment and Manifests in one location.
This can be filtered by:
- Account Number; and
- Search by Date Range
View/Add Pickup Menu
The view/add pickup page has two uses.
1. Creation of Pickups
The creation of pick ups is completed on this screen when your not set up for creating pick ups through the consignments.
To Create a pickup using the consolidated pickup option click “ADD PICKUP”
If you have these permissions.
The Pickup number will generate automatically
Select the pickup date (note it defaults to today’s date automatically)
The time of entry is automatic
Select the who pays (this can be defaulted – see default options instructions)
Select the mode (this can be defaulted – see default options instructions)
Enter the sender details (this can be defaulted – see default options instructions)
You can select from the drop down box, alternatively select an option to add
A. Add Sender to List (this will just add to the sender list and is not visible in the receiver list)
B. Add to Both (Visible in the sender and 3rd party list)
C. 3rd Party (for third party collections)
when entering manually
Enter the Name of the company
Enter the Address
ensure the suburb is displayed as per the below example (otherwise it will reject on submission)
Enter the contact person and phone number
Ensure that the Sending City is selected (if not selected the pickup will not submit to FAA)
When selecting the pickup location the following options cover the states listed.
FAA Brisbane covers all Queensland pickups
FAA Sydney covers all New South Wales pickups
FAA Melbourne covers all Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia pickups.
Enter the ready and close times
Dangerous Goods involved?
If so select “YES”
Enter the Class / Packing Group / Hazchem Numbers and UN Number
Select the Food Grade Material option if the freight is food or Pharmaceutical
Pallet Information
Enter the total of Plain, Chep or Loscam quantities on the collection
Special instructions can be entered to give further information about the consignment note.
Pickup Load Details
The pickup load details are consolidated into each state totals
example
Total quanities for Sydney are to be entered altogether in the Sydney load details and so on.
Submitting the Pickup
Two options are available
1. Save & Submit (Submits the pickup straight to FAA)
2. Save (This does not submit the pickup to FAA, you can continue to edit and submit at a later date)
2. Viewing pick ups created through the consignment system.
Filter Options
You can filter the view by account no, date range and status.
The option to include deleted items or hide submitted pickups can be selected.
Select the desired filter option and click “SEARCH”

How to correctly enter a cosignment
Click on the “CONSIGNMENT MENU” (LEFT SIDE)
Click “ADD CONSIGNMENT”
This will take you to the consginment entry page.
Step by step information required
1. CONSIGNMENT NO (GENERATES AUTOMATICALLY)
2. CARRIER: FREIGHT ASSIST AUSTRALIA (SELECTED AS DEFAULT IF CONFIGURED – REFER TO SETTINGS)
3. DESPATCH DATE – THE DATE THE CONSIGNMENT IS COLLECTED/BOOKED
4. WHO PAYS: THE CUSTOMER WHO IS PAYING FOR THE FREIGHT, SOME CUSTOMERS MAY HAVE SUB ACCOUNTS)
5. SERVICE: GENERAL OR EXPRESS (DEFAULTABLE OPTION IN SETTINGS)
6. CONNOTE TYPE: NEW OR RETURN (DEFAULT TO NEW IN SETTINGS)
7. CREATE PICKUP (ALWAYS TO BE TICKED TO ENSURE PICKUP IS CREATED)
8. SENDER INFORMATION: SELECT FROM LIST OR ADD A NEW SENDER, OR ADD TO BOTH (SENDER AND RECEIVER)
9. RECEIVER INFORMATION: FROM LIST OR ADD A NEW SENDER, OR ADD TO BOTH (SENDER AND RECEIVER)

YOU CAN ADD ANOTHER CONSIGNMENT OR PROCEED TO MANIFEST.

Manifest Menu
All consignments entered must be manifested.
The system will send the pickup (if using consignment pickup option) when clicking save and create pickup. however the consignment data does not submit to FAA until a manifest has been completed. This way you can download a manifest for drivers to sign.
How to create a manifest.
Click the manifest button on the menu.
Click “ADD MANIFEST”
Select the Carrier as “FREIGHT ASSIST AUSTRALIA”
Tick each consignments you want to submit and manifest. or select the main tick button to select all.
All the consignments being loaded on the driver for collection.
Remeber that all information on load details must be accurate legally.
Click on “SAVE & PRINT” this will download a manifest file to print.
Click on the downloaded file to print the manifest.

Settings, Default Options and Sender/Receiver
General Information and Default Settings
Configure default pickup and consignment information such as, who pays, express or general, carrier, sender,
Click hove on settings and click “GENERAL INFORMATION”
On the General Information page, scroll to Default Settings.
You can confirgue your default
- Carrier (Freight Assist Australia)
- Who Pays (Account)
- Service Type (General or Express
- Connote Type (New or Return)
- Sender (You sending account, most common collection point)
- Sending City (Most common city of collection)
- Item Type (Plain, Chep or Loscam Pallet, even IBC)
After changing your default settings click on “SAVE”
Sender / Receiver
This controls your address book of sender and receivers, you can modify sender/receivers and update records.
All Sender / Receivers created from Pickup or Consignment Entries reside here.
Click hove on settings and click “Sender/Receiver”
Use the search box to find the sender or receiver you wish to update.
After entering the search criteria Click on “SEARCH” (RED BUTTON)
This will display all matching or near matches
Using the “EDIT” BUTTON
select the appropriate sender / receiver and click the EDIT button
You can change the Name, Address, Email, Contact and Phone Number.
Add the address to be a sender or receiver or both.
Create default sender or recevier instructions
Add or Modify Sender Ready and Close Times
Add the Sending City information
After any amendments click on “SAVE”
POD Menu
POD
POD’S are now available online.
Filters can be selected by ACCOUNT, CONSIGNMENT NO AND DATE RANGE.
Once selected click on “SEARCH”
To clear the filter click on “CLEAR”
To download a POD select the tick option, you can select multiple.
If you want to view one POD then click the appropriate “POD” hyperlink.
When selecting multiple and finished ticking all the appropriate POD’S to download you have two options;
If selecting email, it will ask for the email to send the POD’S to.

Remote Support
Remote Support Assistance
If you have been requested to grant access for remote support, these steps will guide you through the remote support setup process.
Firstly, click on the top right display button
Click on the Support button.
On the support page click on “Download”
This will take you to an external Freight Assist Australia web page called help.faagroup.com.au
Click on “Download Remote Support”
Click on the FAA Remote Support file download.
if prompted, Click run.
A install action will occur, wait for this to complete.
Note: this doesn’t leave a physical software install on your pc for security reasons its a once of application.
if prompted click “YES”
Accept the conditions
Enter your name and company then click “continue” to join the support queue.
once accepted you will see a message advising that you are connected and in a queue.
Cancellations
Please ensure the following process is followed when cancelling a consignment/booking.
- Click the red X button on the consignment note you wish to cancel.
- Email pickups@faagroup.com.au and advise the consignment note you wish to cancel.
- Customer Service will cancel the booking and confirm the cancellation has been completed.
Please note if this process is not followed any futile charges will be applicable and no credit will be provided.
