Freight Assist Australia Pty Ltd commenced operation in September 2012, since then the company has transformed into a leading bulk transport and logistics provider, specialising in general and express freight Australia-Wide. We are firmly focused on providing a solution driven approach and maintaining an “uncompromised” service level to everything we do. Our core specialties are vastly spread across a range of industries; including (but not limited to): food, manufacturing, dangerous and hazardous goods (packaged and bulk) and general products.

The Freight Assist Australia team brings together numerous years of experience in transport, logistics and warehousing of chemical and general freight. Our key personnel and senior leadership team include members from other industries across the corporate spectrum, providing the company with a diverse range of skills and a wealth of relevant industry knowledge to draw from.

2011 - Company Registered

Freight Assist Australia was registered as a Pty Ltd Company with ASIC.

2012 - First Melbourne (Altona) Depot Opened

Freight Assist Australia commenced operations at Grieve Parade Depot located in Altona North.

2013 - Melbourne (Laverton) Depot Officially Opened

Freight Assist Australia moved into a shared depot located at Building 5, 63-69 Pipe Road, Laverton North, VIC.

2014 - Melbourne (Laverton) Depot Site Upgrade

Freight Assist Australia moved into an independent depot located at Building 1, 63-69 Pipe Rd, Laverton North, VIC.

2015 - Major Service Upgrades in Transport & Storage

Freight Assist Australia obtained National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation in Mass Management and Fatigue Management. Freight Assist Australia has also obtained a food registration for storage and distributions of class three food products.

2016 - Sydney (Prestons) Depot Officially Opened

Freight Assist Australia officially relocated it’s Sydney operations to a more suitable and spacious depot located in Prestons, NSW.

2017 - Melbourne (Altona) Depot Officially Opened

Following months of investigation into suitable site locations, we officially opened Freight Assist Australia’s new Head Office at 201 Maidstone Street, Altona. This facility will be instrumental in allowing Freight Assist Australia to further expand on its current capabilities and services to existing and new clientele.

2019 - Sydney (Wetherill Park) Depot Officially Opened

Freight Assist Australia is pleased to announce that effective from the 30th of September 2019 we relocated our existing Sydney operations to a modern, larger facility located in the heart of the industrial precinct at 490 Victoria Street, Wetherill Park, NSW 2164.

2020 - Sydney (Wetherill Park) Obtained Dangerous Goods Storage Licence

Freight Assist Australia’s Wetherill Park depot officially obtained it’s license as a mixed dangerous goods storage facility.

The added service of storing class 2, 3, 5.1, 8, 9 dangerous goods only compliments our national bulk dangerous goods transport services.

Freight Assist Australia’s Melbourne Head Office is also licensed for class 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9.

2021 - Established Our 3PL and Warehousing Division - One Warehousing and Distribution

One Warehousing and Distribution, focuses solely on Third Party Logistics and Distribution. It is a subdivisonary of Freight Assist Australia Pty Ltd. Specialists in the storage and handling of food, industrial, hazardous, and general goods. Meeting and exceeding our clients’ expectations is our utmost priority and what sets us apart from other logistics service providers.

2021 - Sydney Secures a Second Warehouse in Smeaton Grange for 3PL - One Warehousing and Distribution

One Warehousing and Distribution, continues to expand and have secured a second location in Sydney that consists of 5,800 sqm of warehouse space.
